Our Story
Viklang Punarvas evam Prashikshan Sansthan started its journey in November 1992 and its new initiative Pragya Niketan hostel began with a vision to
empower boys with disabilities by providing them access to education,
shelter, food, and holistic support. What started as a small initiative with just
8 students in Dashrath Mal Ji singhvi Ki Haveli in Hathi Ram Ji Ka Odha,
Jodhpur, has since grown into a sanctuary of hope, education, and
opportunity for many more children in need.
Our story began with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by
children with disabilities in underserved communities. In the absence of
adequate resources and inclusive support systems, many children were
deprived of the education and opportunities they deserved. Pragya Niketan
set out to change this by creating a space where boys with disabilities
could receive support for education, safe shelter, and the support necessary for
them to live independent, fulfilling lives.
Over the years, our humble beginnings have blossomed into a thriving,
inclusive educational center. We provide not only academic learning but also
vocational training, specialized therapies, and life skills development that
prepare our students for future success. Every child at Pragya Niketan is
seen, valued, and given the chance to realize their potential, regardless of
their challenges.
From those early days with just eight students, we’ve grown into a community
that continues to impact the lives of many children with disabilities. Our
commitment to offering education, shelter, healthcare, and vocational skills
has
allowed us to become a beacon of hope for families and children who once
thought
opportunities like these were out of reach.
Today, as we look back on over two decades of service, we remain deeply
committed to removing barriers—be they social, educational, or economic—that
prevent children with disabilities from fully participating in their
communities. Through partnerships, advocacy, and a deep commitment to
inclusivity, we continue our work to shape a future where every boy with a
disability has the opportunity to thrive.
Mission
At Pragya Niketan Hostel, our Mission is to empower individuals with
disabilities through comprehensive education and skill development, enabling
them to lead fulfilling and independent lives. We believe that every person,
regardless of their abilities, deserves access to quality education and the

We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment where individuals can
unlock their potential and pursue their dreams. Through tailored educational
programs, vocational training, and personal development workshops, we equip

those we serve, inspiring understanding and action within the broader
